This website is dedicated to my campaign taking place in the Dark Heresy RPG published by Black Industries. I will at times publish my own material used in my campaign. The material is based on the Warhammer 40.000 background created by Games Workshop, IP rights currently held by Fantasy Flight Games.

Using my stuff...
I have absolutely no problems with anyone copying my stuff from these pages. However please don't copy my stuff to your own website and such, post a link to my page instead. It just seems rude to take other peoples work without asking first. The pictures used here are from the Nasa web site. Contact: Feel free to drop me a line if you feel like it. Portable Mini Gun

This portable mini gun fires staggering amounts of rounds, making it a very hard job indeed to carry enough ammo for it to operate for more than a minute at the time. This means that even if the mini gun is portable, it is frequently seen mounted on vehicles and guard towers. The mini gun is usually belt fed from the bottom of a large backpack, or ammo is carried by someone helping the shooter. To move and fire the gun at the same time requires the talent Hip Shooting, or the shooter will have a -20 to ballistic skill check. A special gyro harness can be use to carry it while moving. The harness must be specifically fashioned an individual.
The weapon is only capable of firing in auto burst mode. Because of the great amount of rounds fired with each burst, the each degree of success on the ballistic skill check means one additional hit.

Ballistic Rune Staff

The Ballistic Rune Staff is a psyker’s weapon of choice. It is a long staff with a crystal of some kind in the top. The crystal has to be carved to exact measurements fitting the owning psyker for the staff to function properly. This process can take weeks, even months to complete, and must be performed by an accomplished artisan. Usually only the very top of the Adeptus Mechanicus knows how to do this, and they are not willing to share the secrets with anyone.
The Eldar however have a somewhat similar technique that can be easily applied to humans as well A technique that is more generic, meaning that any psyker can use any given rune staff, provided he has the will power to control it. Such a staff can most likely be procured at rogue trade posts sold by dark Eldar or the like.
The rune staffs fires a psychic bolt at its target. The bolt is released from the crystal and is seen a coloured ball of lightning flying towards its target. The colour varies, depending on the person handling the staff. The staffs are powered by the user’s will power, and every use requires a WP roll, success indicating that a bolt is fired, and failure that no bolt is fired.
Once a number of bolts equal to the user’s WP bonus have been fired, the user suffers one level of fatigue. This process can continue until the user passes out from fatigue. The weapon does triple damage and ignores toughness on creatures from the warp. It does double damage against psykers and other psychic active creatures. The base damage is 1d10+ the user WP bonus.
To hit with this weapon the user makes a normal Ballistic skill roll. On a roll of 91-00 roll on table 6-2, the Psychic Phenomena table in the Dark Heresy core rulebook. The cost of this weapon is given in Influence Points.
The exotic weapon talent (Rune Staff) is needed to use this weapon.

New Ammo

Tracer Bullets These bullets burn off a phosphorous charge when fired, making it possible to see the bullet’s flight as a fast moving glowing light towards its target, thus making it easier to hit. Tracer bullets are only good for weapons with a burst rate of 10 or more. One in five bullets must be tracers for them to be effective enough to yield a +5 bonus to hit with ballistic skill. They are only work at targets more than 30m or away.
Cost: 1 throne for 2 tracer bullets.

Shoulder Mounted Weapon

This is basically a ranged weapon mounted on a piece of shoulder armour or the like. The weapon is usually linked to an optical implant to facilitate targeting, though it can be linked to a helmet or goggles. The weapon mounted cannot be a larger class than pistol, and takes twice the normal time to reload, though clip size can be augmented by 50%. An optical implant grants the shooter +10 to hit with ballistic skill, and helmet or goggles a mere +5. The weapon is activated either by a mental command in the case of implants, or by a small neuron sensitive switch in a glove or wrist band.
This weapon can also be outfitted with the Red Dot Laser Sight, the Fire Selector and the Silencer upgrades.

Cost:
With optical implant: 4000 + shoulder piece armour cost + weapon basic cost x5
With helmet: 2000 +shoulder piece armour cost + helmet cost +weapon basic cost x5.
With Goggles: 2000 + shoulder piece armour cost +weapon basic cost x5.
